Designer Galina Sobolev is a Singular Sensation!

I recently had the distinct pleasure of visiting one of my favorite designers, Galina Sobolev, founder of the Single Dress and Kaya di Koko lines, at her factory downtown. Yes, you read this correctly…her factory! All of Galina’s clothes are proudly manufactured not only in the US, but also made locally in LA! I was touched by Galina’s fortitude to stick to her lines being manufactured in LA as it’s a very costly endeavor. “I’m a first generation immigrant who studied and worked hard to get where I am. I truly think it’s our duty to give back to our […]

Several of my films are making their world premiere at the popular Action on Film (AOF) Festival, which is going on until September 27th in scenic Monrovia at the Krikorian Theatres. These films are Strangers In A Book, Seeking Valentina, and Natural Born Filmmakers. This festival was created by Del Weston, who is also a filmmaker, so he really supports indie filmmakers in our community. And I really feel the sense of community at this festival. I ran into supportive friends like King Bassey, Founder of the Los Angeles Nollywood Film Awards, LA Talk Radio Host Cameron Datzker and blogger […]

I also loved Karen’s line of skincare products which are sold exclusively at Tikkun Spa in Santa Monica. Can’t wait to try their targeted eye serum and their CC skin perfector with an SPF 50. P.R.E.P’s line of skincare has a great purifying daily cleanser. Boodlebox is a wonderful monthly subscription service for girls ages 6 to 11 years old. Rock Your Hair by Michael O’Rourke has great […]

Youngblood Doing Good

I love, love, love Youngblood products! I purchased some products years ago at a charity event in Hollywood at the Supper Club and still have loyalty to what I’ve used in the line. What I loved about my intro to this great line was that the proceeds from the package that I bought were donated to the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation for breast cancer research. Pauline Youngblood is the founder and CEO of this wonderful cruelty and paraben-free line and is a breast cancer survivor herself and supports many cancer related causes. In addition to all of this amazingness, […]
