I recently came across the lovely O’Chea at an awards ceremony where we both received media appreciation awards from noted fashion designer Eugene Sidney. I love her amazing designs and wonderful personality. And she’s got the best smile ever. Truly a lovely lady.
A film I had a fun supporting role in, “Natural Born Filmmakers” had its World Premiere at the prestigious Action on Film International Film Festival on September 19, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Krikorian Theatre in scenic Monrovia. “Natural Born Filmmakers”, written and directed by Steve Oakley, has been nominated for Best Comedy-Feature at this wonderful film festival that was created by Del Weston, who is a noted filmmaker himself. Described as both a cautionary tale, an ode to the travails of filmmaking as well as a spoof, “Natural Born Filmmakers“ puts a searing magnifying glass on the workings of […]
Several of my films are making their world premiere at the popular Action on Film (AOF) Festival, which is going on until September 27th in scenic Monrovia at the Krikorian Theatres. These films are Strangers In A Book, Seeking Valentina, and Natural Born Filmmakers. This festival was created by Del Weston, who is also a filmmaker, so he really supports indie filmmakers in our community. And I really feel the sense of community at this festival. I ran into supportive friends like King Bassey, Founder of the Los Angeles Nollywood Film Awards, LA Talk Radio Host Cameron Datzker and blogger […]
Strangers in a Book, is one of the films I’m acting in, is making its world premiere at the popular Action on Film (AOF) Festival, which is going on until September 27th in scenic Monrovia at the Krikorian Theatres. The other two films making their world premieres at AOF are Seeking Valentina and Natural Born Filmmakers. This film is nominated for Best Guerilla short film at AOF. Keeping fingers and toes crossed! This festival was created by Del Weston, who is also a filmmaker, so he really supports indie filmmakers in our community. And I really feel the sense of community at this […]
Seeking Valentina, a film I had a nice supporting role in, is making its world premiere at the popular Action on Film (AOF) Festival, which is going on until September 27th in scenic Monrovia at the Krikorian Theatres. My other films making their world premieres are Strangers In A Book and Natural Born Filmmakers. This festival was created by Del Weston, who is also a filmmaker, so he really supports indie filmmakers in our community. And I really feel the great sense of community at this festival. This film is about an Iranian-American writer (Ali Bavarian), in the pangs of grief, who […]
I was so thrilled to have Lovesick Fool screen as a part of the Hollyshorts Film Festival at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood! What a pinch me I’m dreaming moment! This film was my voiceover animation feature film debut and stars a talented ensemble of comedic geniuses like Lisa Kudrow, Janeane Garofalo, and Fred Willard. Dominic Polcino, an Emmy-nominated director of “The Simpsons”, “King of the Hill”, and “Family Guy”, directed, wrote, and voiced the lead role. The film is Polcino’s Mezmo Productions’ first feature. It’s an original adult animated vision, expanding on Polcino’s award-winning short film “Lovesick Fool”, about a […]
Acclaimed designer Gordana Gehlhausen showcased her beautiful designs from her GOGA by Gordana label at the Kino Croatia film festival at the Amerian Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre in the heart of Hollywood. Kino Croatia celebrates the latest films from Croatia and it was great to see Gordana, who is from the former Yugoslavia, have her fashion show there. There was also a great performance by the Mozart Twins, two amazingly talented violinists. Ever the child fashion prodigy, Gordana knitted her first sweater at the tender age of 7. She created a children’s line while living in Atlanta, Georgia and […]
