The Whimsical World of Celebrity Photographer Clinton H. Wallace

One of the first media people I was blessed with having the pleasure of meeting in LA eons ago was the one and only Clinton H. Wallace. If memory serves me correctly, we met at The West of Brooklyn premiere. He is a trusted friend and colleague and has been like a big brother to me. Clinton is of Cuban and German ancestry on his mother’s side and Jamaican and Scottish ancestry on his father’s side, but for some reason, the Cuban and Jamaican sides stand out the most to me personality-wise, so I affectionally refer to him at the “Cubaican” […]

Sunday Holiday Brunch at Sue Wong’s Estate

I had the distinct pleasure and honor of getting an invite to an intimate holiday Sunday brunch over the 4th of July weekend at renowned fashion designer Sue Wong’s historical estate, The Cedars. I’ve been to her sprawling estate before, but I had never been there during the day and I truly got to see every detail and the beautiful well manicured lawns. And the crowd! It was a very diverse international crowd. I felt like I was at an embassy party in DC, but with tons of talented artists there. It was like a true salon of artists and […]

Matriarchs/Archives exhibition at Dorriz Couture

I had a great re-connection to a fashionable part of my Persian culture that I have yet to see at Shahla Dorriz Couture last night via their bold and artistic “Matriarchs / Archives” exhibition. This is the second exhibition of the ” / Archives” series by mother and son collaborators Shahla and Alexandre Dorriz. The third and fourth generation couturiers, and photographer, are known for their working with their family’s rich historical collection of needlepoint and embroidered textiles, some over 150 years to date, which were smuggled out of Iran during the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Shahla and Alexandre delve into […]

I had the pleasure of getting invited to the Coming Home with Nick Palance Event at the glamorous beachside Casa Del Mar Hotel where some lovely and amazingly accomplished friends of mine were given well-deserved Certificates of Recognition for all their vast charitable endeavors. Acclaimed Pop-Opera recording artist Nick Palance was the impressive headliner of “Coming Home with Nick Palance and Friends” charity gala to benefit OPCC and individuals who are homeless. This memorable evening  included a red carpet gala reception, seated dinner by Executive Chef Alberico Nunziata in a spectacular ballroom overlooking the sea, silent auction, and an exciting […]

LYTBrand’s Assassin Hoodie

One great product that stood out to me at the BET week Pre-Beauty & Brains Fashion Show and Gifting Suite at the California Market Center in bustling downtown Los Angeles was LYTbrand’s Assassin hoodie.   “Let the people mask you such that you become one with the crowd” is a popular saying in Assassin’s Creed, but with LYTbrand’s Assassin hoodie that is not the case. It looks so different that all the yoga clothes and casual sportswear out there. It’s super comfy, yet edgy and stylish and I can’t wait to go hiking with it when the weather cools down […]

Edison Cortez of Thomas and Edison’s Elegant Gown

This post is about an amazing gown I wore designed by this wonderful designer Edison Cortez of Thomas and Edison.   I had the honor of wearing a beautiful beaded strapless gown by the amazingly gifted Edison Cortez of Thomas and Edison at my commendation from the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce the other night. Just putting on the dress was fun as it was a wrap style dress! I love the gold beading on the bodice that was all done by hand. And the gown was pure silk. Edison’s designs are usually very sexy, alluring, and oh so […]
