Nice time at the Jade Marlin Launch

I had a great time at the Jade Merlin launch at the Universal Hilton recently. I caught up with media friends such as esteemed British journalist Sandro Monetti and noted Latina media maven Ana Novella. I also ran into filmmaker Romane Simon, who I was truly honored to work on his film Hybristophilia and ran into some castmates on that film. And it was a real pleasure to meet Jade, a talented young designer. Loved his evening gowns. More info at https://www.jademarlin.com/

Photo shoot with The Artists Project LA

Had an amazing photo shoot with The Artists Project LA (TAP), which was founded by celebrity photographer Michael Bezjian of Gettyimages/Wireimage, who graciously opens his spacious home to any up and coming performer who is in need of headshots. Usually headshots can cost hundreds even upwards of a thousand dollars and need to be updated pretty regularly, so Michael and his team provide a priceless service as a shoot like this is impossible unless one is an A list actor and has his or her bank account, not to mention an A listers rolodex of contacts!   Upon entry to […]

Getting Glammed at the Sai Suman “The Queen in Me” Show

It really does take a village in putting an event together. With the help of celebrity hair and makeup team of Alma (makeup) and Saya (hair), I was camera ready all night from the glaring lights of the red carpet to the runway and even in the frenetic flow backstage. As for product, I really like Alma’s use of Kryolan eyeshadow and Media Pro’s high Definition Foundation. I also liked how Saya smoothed my hair with Tigi’s Bed Head. Every hair stayed in place and so did my makeup. No small feat! Alma is a professional makeup and hair artist […]

My Favorite Oscar Looks

There were not a lot of favorite standouts for me this Oscar season, as I liked the looks at the after parties more. Here’s what I did like… When I saw the gown, I thought of the song “Blue Velvet.” Taraji looked elegant and sexy at once. Not many can pull that off. Oscar winner Stone with her flapper inspired gold, Swarovski crystal-embroidered gown, gave a real nod to vintage Hollywood with her Veronica Lake type curls and red lipstick. Very fitting considering her winning performance was from the modern day classic La La Land!
