As if it wasn’t enough to be honored at the Nollywood Awards at the historic Miracle Theatre for my voice over career, I was also honored to wear a custom hand made beaded and vintage lace one shoulder champagne gown from my namesake, the lovely, talented and delightful Designs by Vida.
I matched it up with some vintage costume jewelry, clutch and accessories from #themitracollection
But there is so much more to Vida than her designs and creativity. Vida is also a philanthropist and mentors many young people. She is also concerned about the safety of our youth in the movie, music and fashion industries via her Red Carpet Registry and Academy. “The academy is for education and safeguarding our youth while having fun in a glamorous world,” said Vida C.
About the Academy:
As a member one will automatically receive semiannually the E-book of Red Carpet Registry And Academy, of which they are justifiably proud, and four quarterly newsletters. They will send occasional mailings as well, including requests for red carpet attendance, miscellaneous announcements, charity event invite forms etc. Her esteemed Red Carpet Registry and Academy is an affiliate of her Fashion By Vida.
What touches my heart about Fashion by Vida is that for every pair of shoes bought, she donates a beautiful pair of brand new shoes to a needy child through the non-profit My Friend’s House LA. Vida also carries Beautycounter makeup, handmade wigs, extensions, and essentials utilizing the best oils. Oh and don’t forget to stop by her community corner! She’d love to hear all sorts of beauty and fashion tips and hacks!
