Had a great time at the Secret Room Events Golden Globe Awards Style Lounge on Friday at the swanky SLS Hotel Main Ballroom. Their proud Platinum sponsor In the Secret Room Style Lounge are Anne Neilson Home, which “delivers faith with a flourish: creating art and lifestyle products that provide one-of-a-kind beauty and quality while always giving to a higher purpose.” Anne’s luxury candles are a great Valentine’s gift…great scent, classy looking and super romantic.
Other sponsors for this incredible event were Barlean’s, Martinni Beauty, Inc, Serumtologie ®, The Happiness Box, COTE Hair Care, Imagine Home, MCCOY Co. ltd, Julie’s Real, Urban Heal, BIODERMA, Aspect Skincare International, WODA European Skin and Massage Studio, Forever in My Heart Jewelry by Mira, Mighty No Bitey, Inc, Storm Instant wrinkle Lift serum, GetGosh, SPLAT, CelleCle’ Skincare, AROMABABY, and Furrfighters.
Their charity this year is Paw Works, which is a nonprofit animal rescue organization dedicated to partnering with county and city to save and give abandoned animals a second chance at life. For all
who donate to Paw Works Charity this year at the event or otherwise, Beverly Hills Tennis Academy will give
50% off from private, semi-private, group and family tennis lessons to all ages and levels from beginners to
professional with highly qualified instructors at some of the best courts Santa Monica has to offer.
It was the perfect charity for this event as it’s a great cause and also because there were so many companies there affiliated with products for our furry friends. Jack’s Furrfighters has a sharp looking wallet style pocket for removing pet hair. It’s much snazzier than the typical lint brush and takes up a lot less space too. Forever In My Heart by Mira makes beautiful jewelry inspired by one’s pets. Mighty No Bitey makes great 100% natural insect repellant products, namely the ruff on bugs, which one can apply to their dogs. It’s a great all natural flea and tick repellant.
I also got to meet noted comedienne Elayne Boosler, who is witty, insightful and super sweet. Elayne was their representing her wonderful animal charity Tails of Joy, which is sponsored by Mighty No Bitey. Elayne regaled me with stories about her international tours in this crazy political climate (sorry don’t mean to get political). It’s great to hear a comic’s pov as they are known to be frank and observational. I was also touched by all the charitable endeavors she does. What a great lady with a truly peppy spirit. A true highlight was meeting her.
Standouts were Barlean’s healthy products, which are great to utilize this time of year when starting a new with great health resolutions. Can’t wait to try their chocolate silk flavor and superfruit Greens smoothie mix, their pomegranate blueberry total omega burage oil, and their key lime fish oil. I really enjoyed popcorn with their butter flavored coconut oil. To quote U2, it was “even better than the real thing!” I love the Cacao Coconut flavor of Julie’s Real products. So healthy and yet so sinfully delicious! As a self proclaimed coffee addict, I can’t wait to try Dripo’s effortless portable cold brew coffee maker. So excited as brewing fresh coffee can be a real pain as I’m really not a morning person and I’m half awake when I do so.
On the skincare front, I was blown away by the results I saw in Storm Mk-UP’s Rejuvenate Pro instant wrinkle lift serum. I tip my hat to chemist Dr. Karen Sinclair Drake, who came up with this innovative product! Bioderma’s Sensibio H2) make-up removing micelle solution, which is non-rinse, paraben free and hypoallergic is great for when one wants to remove makeup in a jiffy. They also make a great Sebium Pore Refiner. Serumtologie ® has a great pure whipped chiffon moisturizer and C serum 22. WODA European Skin and Massage Studio also had great products as well as Celle Cle, who pampered me with a great mini facial. Auspect Skincare has a great skincare kit for AM and PM use, which contains great serums such as their Retinol Facial, Exfoliating, Skin Brightening and Damage Control. Mccoy has a great Non F Expert Massage Cream that works wonders. It helps one lose weight efficiently, improve metabolism, and it smoothes and tightens skin. Great way to kick off the new year!
Urban Heal has great sheet masks in varieties such as Pomegranate Firm, Rose Glow and Aloe Vera Dewy. Also on the sheet mask front, Martinni Beauty has really fancy 24K Gold Collagen face, shade (for around the eyes) and lip masks! My inner blingy Persian can’t wait to try as well as their Raspberry Collagen and Avocado Collagen. They also have an Argan Stem Cell refining peel, Pure Gold awakening eye serum and firming cream!
As for haircare, Cote CH hair has a great Hybrid Conditioner that is gluten, paraben and sulfate free! They also have a hybrid whip that is a great styling cream. All their products are plant based and they do not test on animals or have animal by products.
Secret Room Events always has the best selection of exotic trips and getaways for celebrity nominees. This
year’s Amazing trip is: 7 days in Tahiti all inclusive & also at Langham Place, New York Fifth Ave! Secret Room Events makes sure their celeb and media guests are head to toe ready for awards season!
Nominees in attendance were Renee Oldstead, Amara Khan, Annie Funke, Katie Leclerc, Kevin Dillon, Priyanka Chopra, Peter Mackenzie, Graham Beckel, Saniyya Sidney, and Sara Rue.
Also in attendance were actresses (and also some of the kindest people one will ever meet in this town) Kate Linder, Patrika Darbo, and Carolyn Hennesy as well as noted voice over artist, Bob Bergen. Bob is probably best known for being the voice of one of my favorite cartoon characters, Porky Pig! That’s all folks!
