Had a great mini facial courtesy of the lovely Sarah Gardner at the Santa Monica location of Malin+Goetz on super chic Montana Avenue, which is dotted with some really trendy boutiques. It was so nice to meet Manager Shelley Randles, and try the amazing products in this line. I also got to sample some great juice and cookies from Live Beaming, which is a few blocks away.
Founded by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, this line is the perfect yin and yang to Malin’s background in the beauty world (high end lines like Kiehl’s, Prada etc.) and Goetz’s background in architecture. Malin suffers from rosacea, eczema, seborrhea and fragrance allergies, so he and Goetz created this all-natural line with Goetz’s architectural expertise and sensibilities. As someone with sensitive skin, I really can appreciate their products. I loved the bright, airy space of the store and the fresh and clean scent of the products. The mascot for the store was their adopted rescue pug Mr. Greenberg, who models for their dog shampoo line.
While I loved all their products, their standouts for me were their Detox Face Mask, which felt like champagne bubbles when applied to my skin. Their replenishing face serum was great as well as their rice bran eye moisturizer, which seconds as a gentle eye primer. I also liked exfoliating with their peppermint body scrub.
