I was lucky enough to be invited to be one of the first to try the soon to be famous All-In burger at the scenic restaurant, The Lake House LA. This intense burger was created by former Bon Appetit sous chef extraordinaire Paul Tavakoli, who, with Chef George, is also the co-owner and operator of the The Lake House LA and Michael Walsh, the editor of Eating Around So Cal. They all collaborated on this wonderful burger.
The All-In is the most EPIC burger I’ve ever tried!
It consists of:
-two quarter pound patties
-smoked tri tip
-pulled pork grilled cheese sandwiches as buns
And yes, it was AMAZING! I could only try half of it as it was sooo filling, but the meat was cooked just right and the onion rings were crisped to perfection with crunchy bacon and gooey cheese. Their fries were yummy (just the right amount of crispy and well seasoned) and so was the potato salad. I also loved the ambiance. It was on a golf course in Balboa Park, so my view was all lush greenery and a nice little lake (hence the restaurant name) full of ducks. I can’t wait to come back!
