Artistic Housewarming at Sue Wong’s Arthaus Estate

Had a nice time at noted fashion designer Sue Wong’s housewarming party at her scenic Arthaus estate in Malibu. Sue is an avid art collector and a huge portion of her extensive modern art collection is housed at all three of her properties;  each which embodies a different aspect of her Body, Mind, and Spirit approach to life and lifestyle. Her home in Malibu is the embodiment of “Mind”, the ever-conceptual, infinite collective imaginative pool which inspires, fuels and houses her creative essence. Sue was excited and happy to finally share her newly-renovated and furnished Malibu home which she calls Arthaus since it houses nearly half of Sue’s extensive art collection.
The exclusive gathering was attended by luminaries from the worlds of fashion, music, entertainment and the media among others: VIPs and celebs in attendance were Alexandrina Doheny (of the illustrious Doheny  Family), Jo Hilton and her partner Dr. Mac Moretz, actor and musician Ronn Moss (The Bold and The Beautiful) and his wife Devin Devasquez, Rhythm and Blues Shannan Rene Parks, musician Jawn Star, actor Wes Ramsey, musician Rob Math, Emmy award-winning producer and actor Vincent de Paul (The Bay), music icon, songwriter, singer and producer Jerry Fuller and his lovely wife, brought by their devoted daughter, Anna Fuller, musician Larry Dunn and (Earth, Wind, and Fire) and his wonderful musician-composer wife Luisa, Kim Campbell, wife of renowned musician Glenn Campbell and keyboardist Chris Pitman–amongst many other luminaries in the creative Arts! Even the camera-shy Oscar-winning director, actor and producer Mel Gibson made a cameo appearance. I also had a great time catching up with friends in the media like Faith Boutin, managing director of FVM Global Magazine and Michelle Long of Avant Garde Magazine.

We were transported in time and space by top quality performances by: Maria Elena Infantino, celebrated musicians Ronn Moss, John Starr (John Walsh), Rob a Math and the visceral voice of Shannan Rene Parks mesmerized everyone with her gutteral, gritty Blue’s voice; musician Medi Em played Spanish guitar while wife model Dustin Quick sensually danced; Brit rocker Steve Cooke rocked the house and music legend Jerry Fuller, who wrote 20 single hits including  Travelin’ Man and Young Girl  — all delivered moving and riveting performances. Like all art in its highest form – music is a #revelation of the soul.

A special thanks to Matthew Santos for sponsoring his special liquor, PURPLE HAZE LIQUER — a true elixer legacy inspired by ROCK legend, Jimi Hendrix, who resided at Sue’s other historical Hollywood Palace, The Cedars.

“Meditating on the limitless, expansive horizon of the Pacific Ocean echoes the very core of what infinitely inspires me to live in the peace and tranquility of my Arthaus,” said an always eloquent Sue.
Indeed dear Sue! I haven’t felt this peaceful and relaxed in a long time!
It truly was an afternoon of Beauty. Magic. Transformation!
