Fire and Ice at the Vida Emanuel Day Spa and Beauty Lounge

The Fire and Ice event at Vida Emanuel’s high-end day spa and beauty lounge heated and cooled swanky Beverly Hills at the same time. This event had two new non-invasive procedures to reduce fat and tighten skin on the face, neck and body, so this roving reporter had to check it out! The Venus Legacy heats the fat off, while the CoolScupting Machine freezes the fat off, hence the title of this event and article.

The Venus Legacy is a machine made by Venus Concept that utilizes radio frequency and magnetic energy to tighten the skin and reduce cellulite.

Their website says “This innovative product is the first all-in-one medical aesthetic workstation that combines the proven multi-polar + magnetic pulse (MP)² technology with the new VariPulse™ feature that will enhance your customer satisfaction and deliver an impressive return on investment.” Sounds good to me!

“Results come after four treatments, but even with one treatment, you see some results. I’m so excited to have this machine here. It’s so popular. My clients kept asking about it and now that we have it, we’re completely booked,” said Vida.

“The demand is here. Beverly Hills is the epicenter for beauty, so it makes sense to do something non-invasive and pain-free that’s effective. It’s a 20 to 30 minute treatment and many say that it feels like a hot stone massage, says Kaitlin Orze, VenusLegacy’s territory sales manager for Beverly Hills.

As for the CoolSculpting machine Erin, an employee at Vida’s spa had this to say ,”It’s a non-invasive fat reduction treatment using cold technology with no downtime or surgery. It reduces fat by 20 to 25%.”

When I checked out these machines, I wished renowned screenwriter, journalist, playwright and novelist Nora Ephron had lived to try these machines out and that we could be friends and console each other on how hard we were on ourselves pre-treatment. After all, her last book was called,”I Feel Bad About My Neck.” Well spirit of the late, great Nora Ephron, I feel bad about my Persian hips and thighs if it’s any consolation. Maybe I’ll be daring enough and get a package to compensate for my Porto’s Bakery and Attari Cafe binges that go straight to my aforementioned hips and thighs.
